Judy's story is a powerful example of how support changes lives in Kibera. As a single mother of seven, she struggled to provide basic needs and medicine for her son, Wilson, who battles epilepsy. Thanks to the Saidika Team and our generous donors, Judy secured crucial medicine and even school fees for her children. With the support of the community and the opportunities offered through our programs, Ann is now building a better future for herself and her child. Her journey is truly inspiring.

Meet Sharon Shikhala, a remarkably resilient young mother from Southlands slum. Despite having to leave school in Form Four and later testing HIV positive, Sharon showed incredible determination. Through a support group, she connected with Saidika and our teenage mothers’ program. Today, with the support of the Patricia and Adriano Initiative, Sharon is back in school, pursuing a diploma in Counseling and Psychology and inspiring other young mothers with her courage.
